Podcast: Adomaa - The Butterfly (Afraba) - Audio Interview on Mpwrshow on @Y107.9FM

The first time I heard @Adomaa_Music was through her first mash-up video "The Evolution of GH Music". As a YouTube specialist I was hosting a training session and the low-key creative genius +Joseph Akwasi showed me his latest work, then. See below:

Exactly! Astonishingly beautiful, intelligently composed and edited video that made me hopeful about the future of music. And introduced me to yet another artist crush: Adomaa.

When we +Amma Aboagye and I were preparing the program outline November 29th, 2015 edition of the +Mpwr Show ,  that would feature the songstress, I was giddy with excitement. I had listened to Adomaa's other musical offerings in the "Cover Girl of Africa" genre and well-received, Baafira:

I had also bought tickets to watch her live at Alliance Franciase in Accra and supported her animation collaboration with +win pyrite and continue to be pleasantly surprised at our budding creative industry with little to no budget and the continued hunger to create, showcase and thrive

All this to share the back story of what transpired at the Y107.9FM studios on the +Mpwr Show show and how awesome it is that we, yes you and I, continue to support, celebrate our Butterfly Adomaa's talent and gift to the world. Go Adomaa go! #MosquitoClaps

Google Africa Connected - Mpwr

Thanks to +Amma Aboagye's timely email last year on Google Africa Connected competition, I was fortunate to share as one of the 20 success stories of young Africans powered by the web. +Funmbi ogunbanwo  & +Dan McCain  flew into Accra to record my story. I shared the video Mama Esi and my sisters they couldn't be more proud :

Season 2 #CollaborativeSuccess

It's amazing that it's 2014 and more importantly Season 2 for the Mpwr show on YFM already. Besides being excited to come on radio and share even more excited stories with our audience, it is an opportunity for the team E. A. Double A and DJ Jay Dee to hang out, welcome you into our cockpit and take flight!
Goals for Season 2 are to take the platform we've been blessed with and foster positive collaborations with already existing organizations/initiatives for more impact. If more hands are at the plough our impact is increased exponentially, if more like-minded young people tackle a challenge together, the solution grows from a movement to a revolution and we are excited to tell these stories.

We have new features and segments to the show: Fastest Fingerz segments where we share FREE (yes, FREE no strings attached) phone credits every episode from MTN, Vodafone, Airtel, Tigo & GLO! We also have an opportunity for Blog-To-Win blog submissions (no more than 250 words reactions to each episode) to win movie tickets as well as!

Fav5     Fav2

If that isn't exciting enough we are extremely psyched to bring you the Real Rap news update segments, the Pump it or Dump It (new/user submitted songs), Would You Rather (WWR) Question of the Day and the Power Mix of uninterrupted DJ Jay Dee Mixology at its finest with even more insightful and wonderful resource persons for this season's episodes.

The Monthly themes for Season 2:

January - DoingBetter'14

February - Partnering for Success

March - 1 GHS 1 Pocket

April - I Am What I do

MorePoWeR the end of Season 1 #Mpwr

Finally blogging about the Mpwr Radio Show, my 2013 labor of love.  It's almost too easy to start with: Well we started a radio show on Y FM with the 'S Means Hope' campaign from the Man of Steel (Superman 2013) movie. And yet, Ecclesiastes 7:8 admonishes that the end of a thing/matter is better than the beginning... it isn't the end of the show, but we've successfully completed Season 1 of the weekly radio conversations I co-host with Amma Aboagye , DJ Jay Dee and audio support from Kofi Taylor-Hayford.

The trials have been numerous, and despite them, I'm proud to say that my dream of inspiring and informing on Ghana/Africa's oft considered 'empty rhetoric' local  radio airwaves was realized this year. There is so so much more yet to do. We are aspiring to engage young entrepreneurs, African leaders and Creatives on off-air in shaping a better world through collaboration.

Before season 2 kicks off in 2014 though, here's to small wins!

I've posted images from guests in-studio on the show and the recent 1st Mpwr Networking Soiree (photo credit +Fiifi Baidoo ) we held to introduce the show's guests to listeners in promoting collaboration.

Accra's International Marathon | Winners & Observers

The world-renowned Accra International Marathon happened the end of last month (Saturday September 29th, to be precise) and my co-host Double A and I got to interview the founder and organizer Ekua Bannerman-Richter of the annual Accra International Marathon on our MPwr radio show.
I participated in ETV/Japan Motors corporate run days earlier, so I opted to  support friends and loved-ones who participated in this marathon, and yes, get a few pictures of what ensued. Everyone who participated, from corporate teams, individual runners in the women & youth sections, was a winner. Shout out to Ekua Bannerman-Richter & her team for a superb job well done, with participants coming from across the world to participate. More pictures here: AIM pictures
