MEST Confab 2015 & #DumsorMustStop Vigil

Saturday May 16th, turned out to be a packed day! After being a guest at many a MESH Confab, I was invited to speak at May 2015 edition and I was humbled and nervous at the same time. The last confab I attended, featured fellow  Ɔdadeɛ +Jayso Skillions+Nicole Amarteifio  and +Yaw DK Osseo-Asare as speakers. It was insightful, informative and inspirational.

This year +Aisha Obuobi & +Joe Osae-Addo and I got to exchange ideas and engage with the MESH creative society.

Even though I was billed as a "YouTube Expert" I focused more on my personal storytelling journey as a multimedia journalists and made a case to encourage more digital Ghanaian content through collaboration.

A big shout-out to +Sed Tsegah  for taking this picture #MeshConfab2015

After 5pm I dashed back to Legon to join in on the #DumsorMustStop vigil. I got to Tetteh Quarshie a little after 6pm to join in on the +yvonne nelson & other Ghanaian movie stars and celebrities led non-partisan protest to the country's electricity crisis.

On Val's Day, I wish you Collaborative Success

I'm sure a lot of readers are used to  the itake photos est. 1985 brand & mantra. Early this year, however, I did something that I've been wanting to do for many months. Collaborate & partner with like-minded, progressive team of creatives who are just as passionate about photography as I am. team 1000 words is a group of young Ghanaian men and women who want to set the standard on wedding photography and videography in the country and beyond.

Each photo/video man has a super hero pseudonym that helps identify his work among the team. Mine is...wait for it... red shutter. I always 'acted' as the red ranger when we played Power Rangers as a kid. Go figure.

My first installment with the team is this valentine's day video to you all (see below). Happy valentine's day to you and yours! I pray that you find your group of team members who can truly help with your collaborative success!

Partnerships | Collabos | Church Website

Nowadays, I find myself involved in more collaborations and partnerships with others. It's always an awesome experience to pool our talents to accomplish a task. When Church of the Resurrection (Rez), DC was revamping their website, Kaitlynn and I (with others) came together to lend our skills to creating an awesome, online identity for Rez. Kaitlynn recently put up an online portfolio (as a local liaison) to feature our partnership and, excited to support however I can, I promised to share her skills on my blog as well.

My photography contribution to the Rez website

I'll do well to post a lot more in the month of July. Look forward to my escapades and collabos!

Next Top Model On Valentine's Day

How did you spend your February 14th?

With co-photographers Hunter & Tony, I had the most fun working with Bridget's (a friend) after school class at Lauren Hill. The young ladies were awarded photo sessions for their Next Top Model project and they enlisted the young gentlemen to be their male models.

When Bridget told me there were two aspiring photographers in the class I quickly enlisted them on my photo team and as the girls picked their poses Hunter, Tony (aka Tony Tone) & I took pictures of the fun session.

I truly enjoyed the photo session and having awesome talented co-photographers was icing on the cake. We hope you enjoy our collective work.
